Mastodon server account setup, troubleshooting, and migration
Mastodon and Fediverse services may be used for community posting, account login, sharing, and notifications.
- Use the instance address provided for your account or service.
- When using OAuth, finish the approval in the browser and return to the original app or site.
- For migration, confirm both the old and new account handles before moving followers.
If authentication returns to a 404 or generic landing page, open a ticket with the exact callback URL and app name, but remove private tokens if present.
